The Crayon That Waited

For therapists, parents, and quiet creators

There was once a crayon who never made a mark.
Not because it didn’t want to - but because it was waiting.

Waiting for a hand that wasn’t sure.
Waiting for a page that didn’t feel too big.
Waiting for the right kind of quiet.

The other crayons made flowers and storms and stars.
The waiting crayon stayed in the corner of the box.

But it was still there.
Still whole.
Still ready.

Some feelings draw themselves when they’re ready.
And some… are crayons that just need more time.

Try This:
Draw with the “quietest” crayon in your box.
Let it rest between lines. Let it wait.
You don’t need to fill the page.
